For this, we are honoured to have Roger Søraa us today. Roger is Professor at NTNU, Norwegian University of Science and Technology and has been part of the Gendered Innovations Expert Group. He has wide knowledge and experience in the Science and Technology Studies, an interdisciplinary field that examines how science, technology, and society influence each other. His research focuses on Robotics and AI.

In this episode of the NEXUS series, we explore how EURAXESS supports researchers and organisations for implementing Gender Equality in research and Diversity Inclusion. Partners from NEXUS and ERA Talent EURAXESS projects discuss how their organisations implement this principle, how they cooperate between projects and networks and how the created synergy helps in implementation.

In episode, 4 we are thrilled to have Florian Zejewski, he is a lecturer and part of Sofia University and EURAXESS Bulgaria team, joining us. Florian has been actively involved in the NEXUS project, leading critical trainings on Gender in Research and Gender-Based Violence in Academia at Sofia University. We’ll dive into his experiences, discuss the importance of these training sessions, and explore how they are shaping the future of gender equality in academic institutions.

In this episode of the NEXUS podcast, we are honored to have Svetlana Dimitrova from Sofia University and EURAXESS Bulgaria joining us. Svetlana is a key figure in supporting the Science4Refugees initiative, which connects researchers who have been displaced with opportunities in academic institutions across Europe. Today, we’ll explore the development of the Refugee Hub, the importance of inclusive research environments, and how institutions can play a pivotal role in supporting refugee researchers. Episode 6
In this episode of the NEXUS podcast, we are joined by Grace Ese-Osa Idahosa, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education of the University of Cambridge, to explore possibilities for change towards inclusion in Higher Education. Dr Idahosa focuses on two complementary lines of inquiry: on the one hand, agency and higher education transformation, and on the other, feminist and decolonial thought. Her research spans across different contexts, including South Africa, India and Northern Ireland. With reference to Dr Idahosa’s research on individual experiences of inequality in Higher Education institutions, we discuss how enabling and constraining conditions affect experiences of belonging, and how to promote critical self-reflection and foster sustainable change.
